Introduction

Raleigh Little Theatre, located in Raleigh, North Carolina, is a cornerstone of the region's cultural landscape and one of the oldest continuously operating community theaters in the United States. Founded in 1936, it has a storied history of bringing engaging, high-quality theatrical productions to the local community. With a mission to enrich, educate, and entertain, the theatre has become a beloved institution, known for its diverse range of plays, musicals, and creative educational programs.

RLT is located a few blocks from NC State University in Raleigh NC. The theater has a beautiful Rose garden and outdoor amphitheater. The theater productions are some of the best community theater you will find in the region. We recently saw the comedy One man two Guvnors, which will leave you in stitches. The theater is small, with all seats being great seats. The staff are helpful. Recommend a weeknight show to avoid crowds. The onlty negative is that the seats are kind of old and lower to the ground than theater seats, so fo older folks this may bit a bit uncomfortable.

The Raleigh Little Theatre also plays a vital role in the community by hosting special events, fundraisers, and collaborations with other cultural organizations. Its beautiful Rose Garden, a popular spot for weddings and outdoor events, adds to the charm of the venue. For residents and visitors in Raleigh, the Raleigh Little Theatre is more than just a place to see a show; it's a place where art and community come together, creating memorable experiences and lifelong connections to the arts.
